The Bookshelf will organise writing competitions and sponsor writing awards to recognise and appreciate new, challenging writing. We will also consider translating some widely read and studied texts that have had and continue to have greater influence on literary appreciation in the country and beyond. The Nairobi Bookshelf is open to collaborations and partnerships aimed at sourcing, organising, translating, interpreting and disseminating literary and cultural knowledges to the people wherever they are.
